Attending Northwestern was a childhood dream for Raheela Anwar (WCAS87), and today, her family proudly bleeds purple. In her ’Cat Tales podcast, she discusses her favorite memories and the lifelong bonds that revolve around her college experience.

In his ’Cat Tales podcast, Alan Wasserstrom (McC62) explains how coming from small-town Ohio to Northwestern changed his life: “When you hang in a pool of fish with bigger fish than yourself, you tend to grow, and Northwestern did that for me.”

As a student, Gabe Coleman (C92) wrote a piece for “The Daily Northwestern” on having a gay parent. More than 20 years later, and living in a state that just legalized gay marriage, he talks about the importance of being able to write such a cathartic piece in an environment like Northwestern.

Jeff Weinstock (C92), Andrew Barrett-Weiss (C92), and Peter Reynolds (SESP92). Three friends fondly reminisce about Jeff Weinstock’s previous secret identity: Willie the Wildcat.

From dry-house inspections to fire hose fights, Fred Brown (WCAS62) looks back on his four years on Northwestern’s Interfraternity Council.

Staci Vincent (J87) spent 14 years in the nation’s capital as a political journalist. “The day I left [Washington], I felt like a big fish in a big pond,” she said. “I was running a news bureau, I knew the players…I attribute that 100 percent to Medill and to Northwestern.” Hear about her path to success in her ’Cat Tales video

  • Create your profile — customize a social network that reflects your interests, and choose how you want to connect and share.

  • Join social groups and communities — connect with other users around schools, athletics, clubs, or other affinities.

  • Find career opportunities by networking, posting or searching job listings, or taking advantage of advice and resources.

  • Interact and share — join a discussion about the latest campus news; share photos from reunions, get-togethers, and trips; start your own blog, and much more.

  • Get involved by joining your reunion committee or local club, or by becoming a mentor.

Megan MacPherson (J92) recalls her time in ROTC, first hearing about the internet, and using manual typewriters as a right of passage at Medill in her 'Cat Tales podcast. Listen at https://soundcloud.com/ournorthwestern/megan-macpherson-j92
